Where it all began – and where it still is today.

Carroux Caffee began with a simple idea: We were searching for the best possible espresso. And once we found that one perfect, distinctive blend, we never changed it.

Behind Carroux Caffee is a team of two dozen coffee aficionados led by Uli Carroux. Uli, a trained cabinetmaker, entrepreneur, and quality fanatic, developed the Carroux blend and founded Carroux Caffee in 1998. Since 2000, our brand has been located at Elbchaussee 585. In our flagship café, we transform the finest green coffee beans into our Carroux blend using low temperatures and a gentle drum roasting process. We serve our blend fresh over the counter or sell it on-site to take away.

From Blankenese to Billbrook – and beyond.

At the opposite end of Hamburg, in the Billbrook district, we were able to open our own roastery a few years ago. In the historic boiler house of the former Hansano dairy, we roast our coffees using traditional methods and precise technology for retailers, office customers, and the food service industry. Anyone ordering Carroux coffee receives their delivery directly from here, without intermediaries, and with freshly roasted coffee.

Because our blend has gained more and more fans over time, Carroux Caffee can now be found in numerous cafés, restaurants, canteens, and kitchens in Hamburg and far beyond. But our mission has remained unchanged throughout all this time, as has our perfect blend. For Master Sommelier Hendrik Thoma, Carroux Caffee is simply "a great classic." For our team, it's the best thing that can happen to a coffee.

"Good coffee is like good cooking: the very best quality can only be achieved with patience, perseverance and the right team."
